The Class of 2023 was challenged to reach 70% overall participation in giving to the college by May 19, 2023. Seniors will choose a prize in the spring semester to celebrate once they reach their class goal.

Current Progress: 142 out of 448 (31.6%) of the senior class have made a gift to Kenyon

Not sure if you’ve given? Check here.

The Rules are Simple

If the senior class reaches 70% overall class participation by May 19, 2023, the Senior Gift Committee will share a prize with the senior class. In the past, a popular senior prize was celebrating their achievement with a champagne toast during senior week.

How can I give?

• You can give online with a credit card.
• You can give online with your K-Card.

What is the Kenyon Fund?

The Kenyon Fund is an organized way for alumni, parents, and friends to support the College. These gifts from alumni, parents and friends support the annual operating budget of the school. Gifts to the annual fund have ten times the immediate impact of gifts to an endowment. Last year, gifts to the Kenyon Fund provided approximately $3,000 in support per student.

How will my gift be used?

You select which area you want your gift to support. The designations for the Kenyon Fund are: Area of Greatest Need, Academic Support, Athletics and Physical Fitness, Green Initiatives, Scholarships and Financial Aid, as well as the Hannah More Scholarship. Because Kenyon Fund gifts support the budget, they impact every aspect of the Kenyon experience. The following chart shows how a gift to the area of greatest need, on average, would be allocated:

library and computer technology 3 percent; buildings and grounds 8 percent; institutional support 11 percent; student services 16 percent; curriculum and faculty 35 percent; financial aid and scholarships 27 percent
** New construction of buildings is not funded through the Kenyon Fund.

Why is the participation rate important?

Outside organizations use the participation rate (the percent of alumni who give to Kenyon) as a means of judging the College. For example, philanthropic foundations review that percentage when making grants as do financial rating agencies when they calculate a college's financial stability. U.S. News and World Report also uses participation rate in its ranking system.

A big thank you to all of our 2023 donors to date!
